WP7 T7.1 Survival & Prevalence 

The subtasks survival (7.1.1) and prevalence (7.1.2) started with a kick-off meeting that was well-attended by the active participants and observers. 

Key achievements include:

  • Collected Expressions of Interest from active participants and observers to contribute to survival and prevalence methodology.
  • Formulated proposal for Level 1 survival indicators.
  • Listing of the data quality checks needed.
  • Assigning tasks to active participants on literature reviews on survival reporting and data quality.
  • Agreement on Level 1 prevalence indicators and first technical alignment with WP7.2.

T7.2 – Implementation in CRATE2

Work is progressing on integrating the new survival and prevalence definitions into CRATE2. Software implementation for both survival and prevalence in R is ongoing, based on the popEpi R package. Development is supported by biweekly technical meetings with JRC.

T7.3 – Creation of focus group with statistical experts

Expert panel is being composed. A kick-off meeting will be organised in the coming weeks.

T7.4 – Development of research study protocols using ECIS survival data

The task team is brainstorming on two use cases (lung cancer and melanoma). They are drafting a first research proposal and are discussing the steps needed for submission of a data access request to JRC.
