At the DKFZ, we want to ensure that fewer people develop cancer, that cancer can be cured or treated so effectively that those affected can live with the disease and grow old with a good quality of life.
As the largest biomedical research institution in Germany and a member of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres, we are dedicated to advancing cancer research. Our scientists study the origins of cancer, identify risk factors, and develop strategies to prevent people from developing the disease. They create innovative approaches to diagnose tumors more precisely and treat cancer patients more effectively.
