CancerWatch Takes Center Stage at the National Congress on Health and Digital Rights in Granada

CancerWatch was presented at the National Congress on Health and Digital Rights, held in Granada on 26 May 2026. The presentation addressed the role of population-based cancer registries as essential infrastructures for the generation of high-quality data and their contribution to research, public health, and evidence-based decision-making.

It highlighted the role of CancerWatch in improving data quality, comparability, timeliness, and interoperability, as well as the challenges and opportunities associated with digitalisation, cancer data governance, artificial intelligence, and the secure reuse of health data within the framework of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
