The Foundation for Healthcare Training and Research of the Region of Murcia (FFIS) is the instrumental entity that acts as the governing body of the IMIB. Therefore, given that the IMIB lacks its own legal personality, this Foundation will execute all types of contracts as well as all economic and legal actions that correspond to the IMIB as a result of the agreements adopted by the Governing Board, the Permanent Commission, and the Board of Directors in their respective capacities and powers.

The FFIS is established as a single research management structure, separate from healthcare and teaching management. It will offer its members the necessary technical support in the areas of economics, administration, and human resources, as previously mentioned, as well as the management of administrative services. It will act, when required, as an office for the transfer of research results.
